Ye Old Forge CCCVIII Medieval Maintenance

Post by Derfel Cadarn »

CCCVIII Medieval Maintenance

Ye Old Forge, sittuated in the valley by Ynys Wydryn and home to Lanval, blacksmith of Dumnonia. A very respected fellow who makes the finest swords in all the land. He learnt his trade from his father who was also a famous blacksmith, and his father, and his father before him, and on and on legend says, right back to the great Gofannon, blacksmaith of the otherworld who crafted the mighty sword Excaliber! Although Arthur himself doesnt believe it, he thinks she was probably made somewhere in Gwent, for an Irish lord, as it was in Ireland where Merlin won it from another druid in a dream contest. Arthur has never been one to believe in silly magical nonsense, to him, Excalibur is just a piece of iron used to win battles. But hes careful to makesure she stays in good condition, and theres no better blacksmith then Lanval for the job!

This is my favorite medieval house, and probably Castle MOC in general, of all time. The architecture is just perfect, and there is not a single part of the building i would change.
The only problem with this MOC is the lack of more pictures!

This is an incredible tudor house. The design of this is very nice, as is the foliage around it. Brilliant work in all, stunningly beautiful. :)

Looks like someone's going for the Master Builder prize

Amazing. At first sight, it doesn't even look like lego. One of the best works I've seen yet. Need I say more?

Amazing! I just finished my first moc 3 weeks ago and it looks like it was based on the same picture as yours was. Of course yours looks much better :) Unfortunetly I am not a great photographer so have been waiting for a friend to take pics for me.

Excellent work!

This is chock full o' awesomeness. The best part for me is the different wall textures throughout the building. Great work!

This is pretty sweet looking! How's the playability? My wife is like like that annoying playability rule. I can spend whatever I want and build anything I want out of Legos so long as the kids are able to open it up and play with it. And I thought the Japanese were handcuffed with with the 276 horsepower rule...

Everything tiled? Check. Vegetation on Steriods? Check. Excessive stone work and Rocks? Check.

SWEET! I'm going to bookmark this building to study all the details later. On first look it's like a little textbook in various lego building techniques.
