Jackson Tower and Iron-Kong

Post by icare »

Hello
I made a new MOC : Iron-Kong's story.
This is a steampunk MOC but I replaced the building of King Kong by a Castle tower: the Jackson Tower.

Wow I really like the tower, all the arches and angled bricks at the corners give it a very decorative look, like some thing you'd see in a city. I always like it there is allot of creative part use and SNOT building and iron kong has plenty of both :D but why is there a flower on top of his head :? I also like the way you used white bricks to make a cloud to hold up the plane in stead of just using clear bricks.

.P.S circus kong gave me a good laugh

Actually, the first thing that caught my eye was Arch brick 1x5x4 at the corner ;) I was playing with idea of doing that, but I've gave it up, thinking it could not work and/or look good.
I was so wrong :) bravo ;)

Edit:
I've just received a bunch of inverted slopes, I will try to copy your "corner arc" and to connect it with the ones on the sides with those inverted slopes. It is wonderful when just with looking at MOC you got the urge to build something (it is always happening to me with eilonwy77's patterns, but I usually give it up very fast:))

"Flowers" on the head are supposed to be the brain of the gorilla. Iron-Kong is not a robot but an android.

In fact, I did not build a cloud, but I did not brick transparent, so I made the stand with bricks in white on a white background .... but it's a good idea and next time I would make a cloud, more woolly.

You did a nice job, and I like the microscale plane. :D
Some folk we never forget
Some kind we never forgive
Haven’t seen the back of us yet
We’ll fight as long as we live
