Terror Of The Witchfinder General!
During the 14 months in which he searched for witches in East Anglia, Matthew Hopkins is believed to have been responsible for about 400 deaths. To give substance to his activities, he claimed that he held 'the Devil's list of all English witches'.
This moc is a couple months old now, due to probs with my pc I never got round to posting it here. This is a dark subject in Englands history, its also interesting that he also wrote a book called 'The Discovery Of Witches', and it was copies of this book that found their way across the sea to New England and started the craze that resulted with the infamous Salem witch trials.

Nice MOC. I think the studs could have been used a little more sparingly but the buildings generally have a good style. Also thanks for the history lesson I had no idea where the salem witch trials came from.

He who thinks you should look at the box that says "Quaraga" if you want to find out his username (about as useful to you as his real name). he only wants you to look so he can laugh about you looking there because he's a total smart...

I was going to ask if we hadn't seen this before so I went looking and didn't really see this in your photostream before. I liked the last thing you built, I like this and I'm almost sure I'll like the next thing you show us too!

Trust me, I think I'm funnier than you do.
Why do I have to add the word "minifig" to my spell checker every time I use it?!

I think you did a good job in capturing both the moment and the times in this MOC. I also thought you did a good job in not allowing it to get to cartoonish for such a dark subject. You kept it clean and to the point. I also admire the details you included. This is a great MOC.

Bravo on another fantastic build Luke! The base around the MOC is a new and rising style it appears.
The best part about this MOC in my eyes is definitely the pond with the bull rushes and natural look. Fantastic job with the buildings and street scenes as well.
Overall, another great one from you. Well done!

I do not comment a lot, but I have to salute to this creation (and its builder).

Very Nice! While I'm not a fan of the technique you used for the stonework on the houses normally, it worked well. I'm a big fan of the upper stories of the buildings, you've included a lot of nice details in them.

I really like the whole design of this moc, but the vegetation is particularly inspiring. I am just curious what you used to make those bending little trees?
Thanks so much!

Very nicely detailed. The whole scene looks complete I really like the water. The gallows are very well executed as well.

Nice job! I like that it is actually about a historic figure (good or evil) who ISN'T in battle.

Glad to see someone caught that. It was intentional.
