Cloonbarry Windmill-CCC IX-Miscellaneous

Post by Eklund »

An entry to the CCC IX - Miscellaneous Category

A farmer and his boy have brought their wheat to the mill to have it ground into flour. Now the flour is ready, and they, with the help of the miller, are loading it into their cart to take home.

A lovely rural MOC, and if I may say so a perfect example of packing all the detail you can into a small MOC. I also see the use of various Derfdel Cadern techniques, which work quite well in this particular MOC.
Back to the front!

Yep, he was definitely a major influence for this moc.

I think Luke (Derfel Cadarn) has such a distinctive style. So then I look at certain MOCs and think, wow! must be him! And then it's not, and I'm mildly surprised. It's so nice to see all the vegetation and detail, along with the clean look of the lines of the building. It's definitely a good style to learn from, and this looks very nice. ;-)

Lovely work on that muddy path, and on those rocks.

Nicely done. If the Mill Raid set was going to be turned into a MOC, I would imagine this is what it would look like. The mill is really nice and I especially like the landscaping. For whatever reason, the orange flowers really make this one pop and stand out. I like the red bird as well.
