So.... when am I going to be crowned king of Lands of Classic Castle? It's just that my men are getting bored waiting around for the coronation and may stay raiding before we have settled borders :P

Don't worry! Now that we have a draft map, things are going to start rolling pretty soon. We still need to gather the lore contributions (Teherean will post the guidelines for that soon) and have people submit entries for the final map (once wobnam and shmails are done collaborating). After those are done, we'll let you know what your first challenge will be ;)

Cool, I'm looking forward to that. However I will probably have to dismantle some of my current MOC's, I guess I should take some pictures first.

Yeah, sadly most of us have only so many bricks to go around. Make sure you take some good pictures with a nice white background and plenty of light, and then break 'em down and get ready for the next build :)
Actually, the thing I like least about dismantling a MOC isn't that it's gone, it's that I have to re-sort all of the pieces! :P

Especially after the CCC! I still have a few mocs I do not have the energy to dismantle (akthough the kittens are helping bit by bit!) and sort, ugh!

Aha, we're back online.

@shmails: same here. I've planned to take my moc to next lug meeting (first sunday of march). Dismantling (and sorting) should start soon afterwards. Mind you, it isn't a small one.

I am very excited about the LCC as so many of you are. I believe that we shouldn't limit factions militaries to one having heavy cavalry, and another not. They should all have the usage of all sections of the medieval army had access to. However, we should try to make it so the geographic areas use weapons more commonly associated with their climates, ie: laminated bows for the desert, yew for the forests, etc. There are ways to differentiate the different lands besides colors within a somewhat historical context. Just my two cents.

The regional guidelines are meant to be just that, guidelines. If you want to create a special heavy cavalry unit in the arctic, or something like that, that's perfectly fine. The guidelines are just there so that each region can develop an overall style and identity.
Just as you've said that each region should emphasize certain weapons, each region also should emphasize a military style and an architectural style, but these points of emphasis are not required.

I hope that helps, and thanks for your interest in participating in the project!

Oh yeah, it's on like Donkey Kong.
This will be awesome, My EB Nocturnus guys vs MY CC Green guys, I foresee some nice battle MOCS coming out of this!!

Edit: Actually now that I think about it and saw this: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ak_brickst ... otostream/ I should probbaly join the Blue/Yellow group, Otherwise I will be fighting my EB Nocturnus Dragon guys with my CC Green Dragon guys... I have a few crownies and falcons so that is a more logical group to build in...

Has there been an "official" declaration of group colours/regions?
