LCC - Garheim Official Faction Thread *We've Moved!*
Re: LCC - Garheim Official Faction Thread
Just a quick question: how do I know if I'm approved? I want to enter a contest but I don't know if I can. Thanks in advance.

Re: LCC - Garheim Official Faction Thread
The voting thread for the First Global Challenge is now up and can be found HERE.
Please be sure to support the project by voting. While I'm sure Brother Steven would appreciate your votes, I'd ask that you choose objectively and select the entry that you feel most deserves to win. Thanks

@konze Thanks. I can enter. Brother Steven's build is really good. I've got a ways to go. I voted for him but that was before I knew that he was in Garheim.

Re: LCC - Garheim Official Faction Thread
A couple of notes:
LC3 deadline is fast-approaching. Please be sure to get your entries in by the deadline, which is 5/20.
Scores have been updated. Please notifiy me via PM if you feel your score is erroneous (of note, I awarded Konze 1 point for making the Garheim character website). For those of you who have attained "Citizen" status, you may now participate in the LCC Guilds
Please be sure to vote for your favorite GC finalist, if you haven't already. You can do so by clicking HERE
For those of you who have signed up, but have yet to complete your CIC's, please try to get them done so that you can participate in our awesome challenges! There is rumor that there may be an actual physical prize awarded for the winner in the near future
Lastly, I'm always looking for feedback from you, the members. Do you feel that anything needs to be improved? More/fewer contests? Features added to the front main post? Have a great idea for a local challenge? Please feel free to PM me any time.
With that said, great job everyone. Keep up the good work!

I finally remembered to take a picture. This is not a very heroic deed but it is a very helpful one so I am really proud of it. Piotrek is helping a traveling musician get to town.

Re: LCC - Garheim Official Faction Thread
Here is my entry for the local challenge!
EDIT: Megablocks....I just realize i completely forgot to add the Garheim standard to the moc...Should i re-shoot the moc with it?
Forgetting deadlines, forgetting banners... I'm having a hard time trying to follow the rules

Don't worry about it this time. There is another entry that I'm giving a free pass to in this LC also. Just please try to remember in the futureAthalus wrote:Should i re-shoot the moc with it?
Re: LCC - Garheim Official Faction Thread
As long as this is getting brought up, why are we even required to include a standard in all of our LCC mocs anyway? There seem to be quite a few builds that they really don't fit in.

Re: LCC - Garheim Official Faction Thread
The idea behind that is that it clearly identifies the build as belonging to Garheim. As long as you can work in the faction colors somehow, I think that is ok, but I really like to see a dark blue flag at least. If you need to build it into the base, that's OK too.
Does that make sense? If we reach a consensus that we don't want to require it, we can change the rules in the future. We were just trying to help build faction identity.

Re: LCC - Garheim Official Faction Thread
While I agree that there is not always a logical place to include it in the MOC, the rule of having it in the base removes that problem the majority of the time. I think that including the standard especially as we move farther into LCC and there will be characters traveling to other lands (if nothing else the Hero and Merchant Build requirements) it is nice to know that this a Garhiem MOC.AK_Brickster wrote:The idea behind that is that it clearly identifies the build as belonging to Garheim. My opinion is to keep the rule in place, but I will be flexible with the majority.

Re: LCC - Garheim Official Faction Thread
Yeah, I think it makes sense to be able to include it into the base. I have already done this in a couple builds, though in those I have included a standard too. I totally see what you are saying with building a faction identity. Thanks for the replies.
