Mitgardian Wolf Stable

Post by soccerkid6 »

A free build for Guilds of Historica. This was a fun quick build that let me try building some more viking-esque buildings, and try a pine tree design that I haven't used before (credit for which goes to Blake Baer). The stables has a full interior and all the doors work.

Great wolves are common in the clan lands of Mitgardia and some have been captured and tamed. Great wolves are smaller than a horse, but are quite strong and almost as fast. A wolf stable is quite similar to a normal horse stable:

Nice work here! I like the idea of a wolf stable. Although this is for GoH it would work great for Garheim as well. The snow-scaping is nice as well as the pathway. I love how you always do interiors on your MOCs. It really adds to the build. Keep up the great work!

Happy Building,

@josdu: Thanks :)

@Sir Valiant: Thank you, GoH and LCC are pretty similar (LCC actually was started after some people over here saw the Guilds of Historica project on Eurobricks).
Glad to hear you like the interiors I do :)

This is great Isaac, lovely build! The stable is clean and simple, yet awesome! The only thing is the story, I don't really agree with the wolves being slightly slower than horses, I think they should be faster (like warts in lotr :twisted: ) :wink: Other than that, nice job!

This is awesome work. I love the inside of the stable and all the little details (warg eating, big slop pile of meat, etc.). The snow landscape is fantastic (I think you excel at making snowy scenes, you build them better than anyone else, IMHO) and even the little trans-clear plates on the road look great too. There is very little (if any!) honest critique I could give this build. It's not overcrowded and it's incredibly detailed. Fantastic work!

I agree with Ssmidt; your snow looks excellent. Great job on the stables, too.

@mpoh98: Thanks Matthew! I almost said they were faster, but I figured horses in real life are a bit faster than wolves (and a little internet research confirms that) :)

@SSchmidt: Thanks SSchmidt :D I'm glad you noticed the warg chowing down and all the meat in their feeding trough.

@Ronin Dragonslayer: Thanks! I've had plenty of practice at snowscapes, I'm glad you like it :)

Looks great SK! I really like how the path looks sooooo much like a gravel path. This is definitely the best snow-scaping I've seen you do too.
