Munchkin Unnatural Axe
Hey All,
Guy Himber gave me this recently. It is a Brickarms prototype made for CrazyBricks upcoming Munchkin Kickstarter project. If you aren't familiar with Munchkin, it is a fantasy-based comedic card game where you fight each other using funny weapons and armor. The creator of the game is a big LEGO fan and Guy Himber was able to obtain a license to make minifig items based on the game. This axe is on the cover of Munchkin 2: Unnatural Axe.

Pretty nice - I do like a good round of Munchkin, and that axe is a nice representation.

Looks a bit unnatural! It is nothing compared to the duck of doom!

Re: Munchkin Unnatural Axe
Looks great! I wouldn't mind having that in a battle.

Re: Munchkin Unnatural Axe
Personally I've never been a fan of oversized weapons but after seeing this thread and especially Hans, I reckon I'd love to see a thread with heroes holding such weapons! (part of me wonders how ridiculously over the top it would get)

Re: Munchkin Unnatural Axe
The Munchkin axes are cool. I picked up a couple from Will when BrickArms was at the Kentucky Brick Expo last month. I think they are quite neat.

Re: Munchkin Unnatural Axe
A bit of an update on the Munchkin Bricks Kickstarter - the base package is up to ten different accessories (a bishop's miter and a horned helmet have been added), and there's currently a vote going on for whether the just-unlocked color choice will be purple or gold - my sympathies are for the latter, which luckily seems to be winning.
UPDATE: Gold won. Now to decide between that and GunMetal Gray . . .

Re: Munchkin Unnatural Axe
Sorry about the double post, but I just wanted to remind everybody about this, since the Kickstarter ends in a couple days (Tuesday Noon, to be precise*). There's been some bonus random items added to each package - this picture is actually a bit out of date, since funds have been pledged for two random Munchkin Bricks, and the third is just a few thousand dollars away:
What do you get with Munchkin Bricks? (on Kickstarter now) by V&A Steamworks, on Flickr
Plus the add-on menu is now live on the main Kickstarter page, with some of the pieces (now including the bishop hat!) available in assorted-color 5-packs.
Heh, this is starting to sound like it should be in the Buy & Trade forum. In any event, I've been looking forward to this since this thread was first posted and can't wait to start building with the bricks. If they arrive in time, some of them might even show up in the next Colossal Castle Contest!**
*"Don't be precise." - Dwalin***, The Hobbit
**The custom historical and fantasy categories are pretty much a given, right?
***EDIT: Not Gandalf, as I originally had here.
