Every year in early winter Mitgardians gather to feast, drink, and watch one of their national sports, mountain bobsled racing. For the past 20 years, the Forest Freaks have guided their green machine down the Mitgard Mountain slopes to victory. This year however, the Red Racers have been a bright crimson blur against the snow and may just take down the experienced dynasty.
My MOC for the CCC XII Vehicle vs. Vehicle category. I was surprised by how well the slope worked out, somehow there aren't any real gaps or anything.
As much I dislike wintersports as much I like this little build! Very funny idea and realized absolutely flawlessly. The observation lounge with the overhanging snow and icicles, the colourful and cheering crowd, the sleighs - all very nicely (and pretty cute) done! The track also really looks the part: snowy, slightly bumpy, and naturally irregular - great idea, great building!
Awesome concept for a medieval build and really brilliant idea for vehicle vs. vehicle! I saw this first on Flickr and it gave me a good chuckle, especially the faces of the minifigs.

Thanks guys! I figured there would be all sorts of catapult vs. catapult going on in this category, so I went in a more light-hearted direction with that in mind. I'm glad it worked out!

That slope is perfect. It looks like the teams had some good practice runs before the race started.
Also, this reminds me of a spot in the game World of Warcraft. If you go up a slope in one zone, you can see a bunch of dwarves sledding down the mountain. One of those little hidden gems.
