Thanks everyone it was a lot of work, I have built fairly big displays before a few times and it took most of my LEGO room but this was the first time attempting anything this big and it has definitely helped me to appreciate the huge displays that much more. Definitely wont be building this size again for a while, I really enjoyed it but it it took up 90% of my earth tone bricks and about as much patience as I have.

That's a huge compliment I have admired his work for a very long time and being lumped into the same sentence as his name puts a smile on my face.

Thank you, I like to stick to the realistic side of things. I loved the village i had a lot of fun building each little house. I do wish I would have gone a little bigger on the house scales but in the end I really wanted the castle to look more massive and imposing to the dirty Dragon knight attackers and feared houses as tall as the walls would have interfered with that.

The landscape was probably the most fun I had while building i was particularly happy with the rock work (not as impressive as some of the rocks out there) around the inner ward. creating the terrain at the back of the barracks and the part through the back of the village was fun and very parts intensive, still not looking forward to removing all the 1x1 and 1x2 plate from those parts.
