This is what the Judging section says in the Rules and Information post:
"Judging:
Will be closed within a 2 week window from the end of the contest. Judging will be done by a committee and not limited to admins of CC. If the committee members do not complete their judging by the deadline, their judging will not be included. Anyone on the committee, who builds for a specific category, will not be eligible to judge for that category."

I wouldn't mind knowing who the judges are, if for nothing else but to express to them a more targeted heartfelt "THANK YOU!!!" for helping to make this great contest move into the future; but, I wouldn't worry about ethics/conflict of interest as you've outlined above.

To be VERY clear about this, when I approached all of the people who are helping me with this contest, I told them they could build for any and all categories they wanted to...but could not judge that category.

Judging for the CCC has never been a transparent process. It might not ever be. Judging by its nature is subjective. But it IS fair and will be fair.

JTooker has been an invaluable help to me through out every step of the way. As well as all of the others who I have named in one of the threads about this contest. Having been one who has been received more than a little bit of negativity thrown her way because of the CCC, I would ask that you be kind and respectful to those gentlemen. They did not have to help me. And for that matter, I did not have to take over the CCC...

Hello guys, what about animals in the "Crew" category? Does it count as one of the 5 minifigs or as an "accessory"?

Hey! I have a question. Master builder requires entry into at least 6 categories and the winner is determined by "total points". Is that total points of their top 6 scoring entries? Or total points of all entries (so max of 16 entries)?

Thank you!

The answer is not straight forward. IF the animal has been modified, or customized, then it may be counted as one of the crew. If no modifications are on the animal, then it is an accessory.

Total 6 of their top score per category.

Thanks for the explanation! I know that's how it used to work, but I wanted to confirm since I know some other stuff has changed.

Just another question about that topic, can we use brick built animals as an accessory. I had a really good idea for a brick built animal today and was just wondering.

Thanks,

If it is a brick built animal, then that will count as part of your crew and not an accessory.

Is it allowed for an entry to be also an entry for another contest?
More specifically, I'm currently finishing a MOC with two indivisible parts: one I built with another contest in mind, and the other one as the "scene" for the Battle category of the CCC. But I had not really wondered if it would actually be allowed... :?
