MOC Heraldry

Post by AleLittleCarp »

Hello everyone, here's one of my creations. Recently, I've found a satisfying way to create flags, capes, and shields for Lego. Nothing groundbreaking, but during the creative process for this coat of arms, I decided to craft a leopard fur to pair atop the cape.

Excellent work, these really look good on a minifig. Do you plan on doing a few soldiers to go along with your knight?

Hello! Thank you very much! yes I am thinking about creating a retinue of knights and men-at-arms as well.
I am waiting to receive an order of oval shields to match the triangular ones with the various coats of arms.
I have already created a good amount of flag and cloaks with different heraldry taken from different sources from A Song of Ice and Fire to Italian Renaissance condottieri.
I am also studying a cape for the blacktron bounty hunter, just to flavor it a bit and give it a Boba Fett aura.
Most importantly, I am having a lot of fun swapping Lego heraldries with Playmobil heraldries.

Here you can see some examples

A few more pictures of my latest creations.

Here a small diorama for FourBricksTall's “Bad Weather” contest.

Here, on the other hand, is my version of Basil The Bat Lord.
In addition to the color on armor and helmet I made the flag which is very similar to the original.

Excellent work on all of these, and your photography is fantastic! The fabric bardings look really awesome.

I enjoyed the Playmobile/Lego crossovers as well, there's something extra nostalgic about them somehow. Hope to see more!
