Some amazing Miniland castle figs on BS

Post by Bricksidge »

Check out the miniland figures in this folder:

The four mages have unique and clever heads, and be sure to check out the figures in the 3 Kingdom folders as well.

Also from "BuilderQ", a very nice micro-pirate ship:

All of these look great. I really like the Water Mage and the Air King. Pretty good stuff. Unfourtanantly he used a Megablok flame in the Fire Mage. It's a shame really, a real shame.

Wow, i think this are really cool, although i think most mocs are cool, but i think these would have potential for gods in a battle game or something, but they were definately worth building, and i'd buy em, if they were for sale. At least the mages, probably not the others.

Actually, all of them have Megabloks. And the earth one has Best-Lock, I'm pretty sure. But clearly some of those pieces aren't LEGO.. :o

Still pretty cool and creative, though. *Ducks as rocks are thrown*

I like them. I think the way he did the faces was ingenious, and the bodies could all be made out of lego. I don't think the use of clones in this instance adds anything other than different shades of color...

Hey,

Those are great. The best part is the really ingenious use of odd elements for facial hair.

Thanks for the comments.

Yes, I did use clone pieces, though I don't think Best-Lock was among them. Mega Bloks was used partly to provide different colors, but I won't say that was the only purpose they fulfilled.

Incidentally, when I started construction of the figures, I built all their heads before beginning the bodies. And when I designed each of the mages' heads, the first question I asked myself was "How will I make this character's beard?"

I have some more figures constructed, and sometime I'll post pictures of them too.

I was inspired by the models of Count Blockula.

I move that "BS" never be used as a short form of "Brick Shelf". I was very intrigued by this post before I realized the true meaning!

Here are some more mages:

By the way, does anyone know why the last two were classified as "avatar"?

Hey,

The ninja armor as beard in the Chaos Mage is particularly cool. Do you still have all of these together, or do you have to take one apart to use the pieces for the next? I'd love to see a group photo if possible.

Beat me to the punch! The pistol mustache is very original. Miniland figs take a great deal of planning. I have not been to successful with them myself, so I really appreciate what great designers like this individual. Heck, he'll give Count Blockula a run for his money with these! Thanks for bringing these to my attention.
