Looking for a sale that was previously posted

I don't remember where i saw it, but a while back,i saw a topic, or reply that stated that at either sears, or another department store, then there was a sale going on where legos were being sold for 50% off, does anyone know the topic this is, or know what i'm even talking about... I ask, (because) i need to buy 4 50 x 50 baseplates, and there like 12-15 dollars, and if i could get them for half off, or 2 for 1, then that would be helpful.
