Notes:

It is loosely based on the castle mentioned by Bruce--Castle Montealegre.

No interior yet. I'm not sure if I will have enough pieces for that, and don't know exactly what I want to put inside even if I do.

The building style is an attempt to emulate Takeshi Itou's building style with a taste of Bob Carney's realism, though so far I think I've failed miserably. However, it's better than anything I've done before, so I'll keep working on it as I have time.

There will be eventually! I hope to build some terrain around the front that allows access. It will probably be a steep hill with a road. As far as the interior goes, I have not decided what to do with that yet. I want to build some shops or other small buildings along the inside faces of the walls, and may also add a stairway or two.

Hey Dave,

Is that mainly new light gray? Or is the variation in light grays due to aged bricks (or clone bricks)? How big is this project eventually going to be? It looks like it will eventually be part of a nine-baseplate castle.

It's clone bricks. :roll: (MegaBloks to be precise.) I could never afford that many LEGO 2x4 bricks. Yes, I would like to have it eventually be part of a castle about that size. It will only have 5 (at most) 48x48 baseplates, because that is all I own. However, I'm digging out some of my old town baseplates and using bricks as necessary to span the areas that do not have studs (as you may be able to see from the pictures). The support system I'm using makes that a lot easier to do, since only certain areas of the baseplate need to have studs.
