Black Cat

Post by Blueandwhite »

Over at http://www.eurobricks.com/, they are reporting that the Black Cat is going is going to be released as the next LEGO legend  ! I must say, if this turns out to be true I'm positively thrilled!! This was one of the best sets LEGO ever produced, and should not be missed by anyone.

I'm not a big fan of the Legend re-releases, but this one is too good to ignore!

I've got to say, Jipay and his crew over at Eurobricks are awsome when it comes to news :) !

I must say I don't really care about the truck. It looks like it has some cool pieces though. I most likely won't even buy it though.

Oh why oh why won't LEGO come out with a Caslte legend. Like the Black Knights Fotress.

Well, we've (Castle Fans) had two legends, and a fan made MOC already. Also, we have a pretty busy year with Vikings and KKII. Think of the poor spacers who haven't had anything  !

Still, this is an awsome model! It definately deserves a place on most AFOL shelves.

I was just on my way to post this; looks like you beat me to it :). Another Legend I probably won't get.

I remember drooling over this set back when it was in the S@H catalogues. I never did get it though...It's an awesome set, but I have to admit I'm a bit disappointed that this is the set chosen to be the next Legend. I was hoping for a castle/space set, and one that's a little more within my price range. :?

Quick frankly I can't see why anybody would want this set. Much less as a legend. I'll admit its fairly cool looking, but not extremely usefull. Espically since Lego is geared to 6-12 aged people. I am not saying that they don't believe in AFOLs, it just seems weird that they are rereleasing a set that only AFOLs would like when they are leaning more so toward kids. Just seemed odd.

Did anyone else notice that "success" was mispelled in the write up?

Just thought I'd point that out.

I remember this set in the catalogs, but not the name. Was it called something different in the US?

This could have been one of the reasons why it was taken down from s@h.

Hello!

The ModelTeam sets were meant for 9-year-olds up to 99-year-old.

"120 Euros" probably means "90 US$". Usually in the US the stuff is much cheaper than in Europe, not even considering the currency difference. For example the Black Falcons Fortress 10039 was $40 in the US and €50 (~ $65) in Germany.

Yes! This is one I always wanted when I was younger, and one I have to get this time around...assuming it is real: There seems to be some debate in the Eurobricks forum. I'm not going to get into that now, but I'm really hoping! I was really disappointed with the last Model Team Legend, because it was a set I already owned the original of.

To Jojo's point,

Acording to www.xe.com 119.99 Euro is 156.69 USD!!!

That's a bit spendy!

I don't remember this set. '96? I wasn't to into model team in '96, the past few years I had not been impressed with the line. I might pick this one up, the reviews over at lugnet can pretty positive (not that's a good indicator).
