Pop Up Window

Post by jamitjames »

Hey all,

The Pop Up Window that says you have a new PM does not work for me. This may be because I have a pop up blocker.

If it is maybe you admins should think about having something on the index.

I cheacked my inbox today and had about 10 PMs I never knew I had.

I, too, have a pop-up block that blocks PM alerts. I have simply gotten into the habit of checking my PM box everytime I enter the CC forums. Also, whenever my pop up blocker blocks a pop up, it beeps, so that helps alert me as well.

I'm not certain, but I think intergrating some alert system into the index might be hard or downright impossible.

Hope this helps.

My Stopzilla kills the PM popup. I just make sure that I check it eveyday when I come and before I leave.

I don't know how this would be programmed, but on BZPower, the link that takes you to your inbox says "0 new messages," "2 new messages," etc. So you could just look there and see if you have any new messages.

I solved my problem! All I needed to do was set it so pop ups were allowed on CC.

I'm so dumb

I had the same problem as everyone else... I had two PM's that were there for like a month before I knew they existed... but your right, both firefox and mozilla (and most pop-up blockers) have a feature that will let you allow CC pop-ups...

Also... nice decal website Jamit - I'm checkin' that out as I write... but I think your link should say "Do you have too many..., not to many"... I know it's picky, just tryin' to lend a hand ~
