Having amassed a decent-sized force of redcoats and bluecoats via eBay, I can fight good gory pitched battles involving much slashing and things exploding, which usually result in one side surrendering. So, what to do with all those prisoners...

We all know we've built a torture chamber at some point, I mean, that's what minifig chains are for! In my LEGO career, I've had executions, firing squads, various scenes depicting surrendering leaders being hung with a working trapdoor gallows, massacres (red plumes make good entrails!) and the like. You name it, I've either built it or thought about building it but didn't because I needed the pieces. (The latter is far more common!)

Off the subject, one of the things I'm working on is an Aversion Therapy... place. Now, all I need is some Droogs...

I have many battles and in most of them almost all the minifigs get slaughtered, but some from the winning side survive (usually wizards).

I have three factions, not totally comprised of generic soldiers, but easy to tell apart. My Royal Knights; (Comprising of Royal Knights as well as several modified Lion Knights, and about 50 KK1 equipped with old shields and helmets); are my second largest faction, second only to the Bulls (Some 50 Bull Knights, along with some 30 Shadow Knights, Black Knights, and Dragon Masters who won't fit anywhere else.) My Forestmen number only about fourty, but with my 10 Falcons (their allies) they can still compete.
Normally, my battles end with one side being completely slaughtered (Usually only seven or eight of the winning side survive) or the survivors of the losing side flee into the hills. Since my battles usually have only 100-120 figs on both sides, it almost winds down to this unless something drastic happens (A huge furry monster descends from the heavens...)
Sitting in a midnight glade
Firelight dancing off burnished blade
A Forestman sits
Wondering about the next day
But after three mugs of ale
Let it bring what it may.

Actually, the only ones in my Ancients Civilization theme that gets slaughtered are the Atlanteans. Their civilization was obliterated by the Kahilawayan Mangatiwala.

When I was little, they only caused eachother to faint, and got back to war afterwards. Why? Well, I thought it was annoying to change the faces of the soldiers for every battle(since the old indivuals had died). Now I dont care and Im conjuring battles in which most sides are way too fanatic to retreat- fight to the last man! Arg!

The only taken prisoners are the Timmys, who are cowards and generally stupid. They are beaten to death or a combo; beaten then executed in the most horrible of ways.
Jar Jars are flying beasties who serve as cannonfodder- often all of them are hit by one and the same crossbow bolt and falls down onto the ground... And gets gibbed!

Anymore, it depends entirely on whether Tykor is in the battle or not, and whether it's a Brikwar or just messing around. If it's a Brikwar (against someone else), every single last one of my men gets killed, time permitting. Decapitated, cut in half, arrowed through the heart or head, incinerated by dragons(and removed from the game, replaced with a 2x2 black brick), blown into smithereens by wizards (and just plain ol' removed from the game), or just plain skooshed (and left there). So I'm a lousy strategist. Whaddya want.

If I'm just messing around, and Tykor's fighting... the only enemies left alive are the ones who run away. The time that the Dragon Masters attacked and Tykor was too drunk to stand up, much less fight... they had enough gold to bribe my BFs into surrendering, and didn't kill any of them.

Usually though, I kill all of the enemy, and all but one or two of my defenders. The enemy bodies magically dissappear and attack again later, and the defenders are ressurected by my wizards and Healers. But nobody's ever been executed, or even tortured. Ever. Physically, anyway.

Azure, a saltire cantoned with a star in chief and in base and two crescents addorsed in the flanks, argent.
