I posted on Brickshelf my new MOC, guarded blacksmith.
Tell me know, what you think.
I'm not sure too, but I think you have right.I only have one nit-pick - aren't the colors reversed on the smoke coming out of the chimneys? Shouldn't it be black at the source turning a lighter color as the smoke disperses? Or am I wrong on that?
It's Jojo's idea, you can see it here.My favorite part is the use of the wrench as tongs to hold the red-hot metal.
I don't know about this. I will rememberI really like how you made smoke but it doesn't go with this MOC. I have some experience blacksmithing and there should never be that much smoke. Usually the forge is so hot that there is little or no smoke, just really hot air coming out of the stack. The coal fire has to be extremely hot to make the steel workable and that tends to incinerate all smoke.
I always imagine blachmith with chain on the floor. Mayby it isn't "real", but i like it.The other issue is the chains all over the floor. No smith in his right mind allows stuff like that between him and the fire, too much potential for tripping, falling into fire, etc.
It does look good.sir Lomero wrote:I always imagine blachmith with chain on the floor. Mayby it isn't "real", but i like it.
Thanks
I was going to note this too - I really like the street around the blacksmith - it goes a long way in adding feeling to the MOC - as do all the shoppers walking around outside.Jacob C. wrote:I like how you made the cobbled stone walk way out front. Looks really good.
