My first Vig -or- Why won't the door shut?

Post by E of Alshire »

Megablocks! Three days late!

Anyway, this was going to be my Hero/Villain entry. It depicts a "Knight" [in the loosest sense of the word] being almost ambushed by two Vikings. He's got other problems even with the Vikings out of the way...

Oh wow, you're right! For some reason I was thinking today was the end - it's the last day of January!

Awesome!
And Entered!

:o I'm surprised at how well that Exo-Force hair works with the Rascus armor! That alone is what made the vig for me, but I also liked the action in the scene. I think you captured it very well, and look forward to seeing more vignettes from you in the future.

I really like the way the hero looks, that is a pretty heroic color scheme you came up with for the character.

Overall, my favorite part is the carpet on the stairs.

The hero opened the door just as the assassings were about to attack, knocking one backwards and of the ledge he was on.
Meanwhile, the torch or candle caught his cape [or hair] on fire without his knowledge.
Maybe it's just not as funny to you guys as it was to me; or maybe the execution was a bit lacking - I was rushing to get it done for what I thought was the contest deadline.

Thanks
Ethan

Good work on the vig. The exo force hair seems really good with that minifig. Also the idea is nicely converted into a moc. My only criticism will be on the topic name. It was good at first to use " this -or- that" format, but now it's just not attractive anymore ;) Keep up the good work.

Hahah! This is most hilarious. I've always liked how Exo-Force ties in so nicely with KK2

There are some other exo-force hair that looks cool. Of course, I'd paint them all and use them for Final Fantasy fodder.

Anyhoo, 'twas rather funny, but if you hadn't posted it, I never would have gotten the cape on fire thing. I did get, however, that he knocked the assassins of off their feet. If it were me, I would have made their hands and feet stick out from behind the door as if they had gotten smushed when it was opened. :D :D :D :D :D THAT would be funny!
Beware the day my soul is unleashed. Not even Megablocks itself will rival its fire!

I really like the combination of the green hair with the green armor. The vignette itself is good, but it might be nice to see some more pictures. (Or was there a three-picture limit like there was for CCC3?)
