Weird thing about Exo-Force and KK2 (updated pic)

Post by JoshWedin »

Hey All,

I just bought my second Exo-Force set (shut up, I like them) and I noticed something weird. The weird hair comes in green, purple, red, light blue, and black. That just happens to be the colors of the KK2 knights. Here are the two hair pieces that I have. Has anyone else noticed this and do you think it is a coincidence?

Whoa, that's kinda weird. Still, I think it looks awesome! I want to get my hands on some of those hair pieces to use them with that armor.

I'm a little disturbed by those two figs...

I guess it does make sense in some way because LEGO uses standardized colors for all its sets, irregardless of the parts... kind of interesting that they happen to match all of the KK2 knights though.
Knight Templar
n. pl. Knights Templars or Knights Templar
1.A member of an order of knights founded about 1118 to protect pilgrims in the Holy Land during the Second Crusade.

I don't like how the hair colors don't match the brick/fig colors. They are close, but not enough that the difference isn't noticed.

That's just creepy... it really weirds me out. It's like LEGO is using it's Bionicle repeating color stradegy on it's system line.

Gives me the jibblies...

That's hilarious! I'd love to see the whole set of five knights with their new 'dos. :D Does anyone have all the hairpieces?

I was going to do that, but you can't get them on Bricklink. And I'm not going to buy all the sets just for the hairpieces...yet.

Josh

PS. The one with the purple hair (7708) actually has quite a few castle-usable pieces. It comes with 2 black goblets, 2 2x2x2 light bley slopes (the dress slopes), the purple hair, and 64 other fabulous pieces. And all for the low, low price of $4.99! (Boy, I feel like an Exo-Force salesman...)

Lets see here...

KK2:
Light Blue: Fast, Reckless
Green: Joker
Red: Strongman
Purple: Wise
Black: Evil

Exo-Force:
Light Blue: Competive
Green: Pissed Off
Red: Joker
Purple: Inventor
Black: Generic dude in the background

I sense a (color)pattern developing...

I got all hair pieces, but unfortunatly I do not have the KK2 knights intact... :P

PS. I reassembled my KK2 knights just for this picture...don't want anyone to think that I keep them built or anything. :)
