'X' shaped barrel stand

Post by SavaTheAggie »

Well, while furnishing the keep to Halcyon, I decided I needed something in my wine cellar besides the stuff inside the walls.

So I came up with this little bit of detail.

And of course you know the devil is in the details

I don't know if anyone has already designed this, so my apologies if someone has.

Image

It's simply constructed. Just 4 1x3 black plates, 2 1x1 round black plates, and 1 1x1 black brick.

The round plates allow the straight plates to be angled in a flattened X pattern without going too far.

An optional 1x2 black plate can be attached to the back of the barrel and the barrel stand to keep the barrel from falling off the stand if you plan to do a lot of moving around.

Simplicity, thy name is Sava!! I love this. Small, simple, yet it packs a punch.

Hi Anthony,

I like your stand. It is very simple yet effective :D I will definitely borrow the idea when I need to throw a medieval party! Perhaps for Henry when he shows up.

Great little stand Anthony, my tavern looks a bit weird with the barrels on solid 2x2 walls, though I cant see where the 1x1 brick fits in, but I'll go try to make one soon... Once I pull myself away from chat...

Man, how could I be that dumb. Just goes to show what can happen when your trying desperately to think of something to keep your post from being only one line long. :D
