I Hate the Jellybeans!
I hate them. The colours are hideous, the weapons look like something from a bad mortal combat halloween costum, and the castles, well, I don't think there are strong enough words to describe them. Lego has really destroyed the franchise with the Jellybeans.
I personally put, "No, but they can be modified" because I have several and have painted them black and silver. As for the swords, I fed them to the phiranas!

I voted yes, even though I don't like the swords or the visors that much. I used to absolutely hate them, but the little guys just sorta grew on me. Besides, they can be fun, like I demonstrated in this thread.

There's nothing wrong with them. While I admit that bringing back Vladek a lot and making Jayko king were bad moves in the storyline, it's Lego. Imagine it your way.

This year's jelly beans are a little better, in my opinion. Slap those helmet visors on a grey helmet for a unique helmet for a leader or something in your army, and the armors are reasonable for the same purpose... your mileage may vary according to your color preferences, but I find that the plate/chain armor pattern on the new euro armors is much better than the goofy designs of the past. Also, while the blank torsos may seem cheap and such, they are excellent for decaling to fit in with other factions.
Just my 2 cents.

Well, I don't like them at all. The visor's aren't bad, and the armour isn't either, it's just those darn colours! They are so stupid! When in history has any army had a knight with Purple, Red, Green, or Blue armour!
But KK2 overall is cool, just because of Vladek and his forces. They are well made, and the armour has a nice touch.

As Nathan pointed out, this is has been hashed and rehashed. Here is a thread about the realism of colored armor.

One or two might have been fine as champions but I don't really need the army I have amassed.
And I'm not real fond of the shadow knights, either, for that matter.

I like them as I use them, like all other minifigs from whatever theme as parts.
You can *gasp* work around the armors and even helmets and find a use for them.

Well... I have tried to modify the swords in many ways, and sometimes it wasn´t too terrible but overall I disdain them. And the visors are far too oversized for my taste, colour doesn´t really matter there, just the silly shape, looks horrible IMHO. But I actually like the armours, all of them even. But I don´t have too many, I guess I would tire of them if I had more than I do..
Overall I think they are ok, I don´t really like them but I can find use for them... and what would my Fae be without them?

With the possible exeption of purple, all the colors were used in the medival ages. Sometimes on painted armours or on chloth peices they wore over the armour.amadeus wrote:Well, I don't like them at all. I see threads like this from time to time, and realize that some of us just haven't gotten it out of our systems....

Personally, I don't keep any minifig unaltered. Even if it is just swapping torsos, legs, arms, whatever. So yeah, I don't use the visors, but there are some really cool parts to make the figs I want to make.

Painted armours? I did a search on that and turned up nothing. The cuirass was carved and embedded with gold and tin to give a lighter or darker colour, but never painted. But often tunics were worn, but only over the armour.erikut wrote:With the possible exeption of purple, all the colors were used in the medival ages. And purple was used extensively to dye tunics. Artiistoracit knights made their tunics purple, because it was the colour of the wealthy.
Well, I don't have a link but someone on this forum claimed that there was someone who painted their armour.amadeus wrote:Painted armours? I did a search on that and turned up nothing. If it's not true, sorry mate.
