I don`t use the "colourfull" armours at all, I think I`m going to airbrush them. But I like the purple arms en plain purple torso, I use them for my Paladins, but I give them classic dark gray armours. The disign of the euro armour is really good I think.

I think some gold and silver waterslide decals would look great on the purple, so rich and royal. Great for paladins and kings! Legofreak did some awesome decals so check his BS account for them. He was kind enough to give me a few and here's what I did with the celtic dragon one.

The funny thing is, "baby blue" do remind very vaguely of bright blue steel (though the right color would probably be sand blue).

Most of my armors goes to the Morcian armies, but many are stickered, recolored or have their patterns removed.

I do the same as Ristridin, too, but I use colourful arms and legs with the new Viking armor.

Noobie question alert!

What is rub'n'buff and brasso? I'm fairly new to customization technique.

I currently use my breastplates (the few I have) for ornamental and ceremonial value for certain things.

(I would say for an upcoming comic, but we all know how the Ragnarok one turned out...it didn't, man I hate my short interest problem :P )
I ow it to wunztwice for directing me here.

There are not a lot of uses for them in my opinion. Damiens idea for the green armor for elven and forestmen knights is a pretty good one. You can also use Vladecks helmet for Sauron. Other than these two uses, I can not think of any others, accept for possibly in colored suits of armor.

Brasso is a cleaning solution primarily used in metals, though it can also take paint off LEGO peices, leaving you with a plain armor.

Rub 'n' Buff is a paint type of thing that comes in silver and gold. You can see the results here.

I use Citadel paints as opposed to Rub 'n' Buff- there's more of a selection. I need to find some vinyl dye, though...

Good grief, I can't believe it took me this long, but Damien, why does Roman armor conform, then?

Inasmuch as some have expressed their distatse for Danju, I don't see the problem with someone expressing their like for Danju. I understand that many members are young and will not necessarily express themselves with the same sophistication as myself. They need to grow into their communication skills, but that will come with time and practice.

My two cents worth.

And yet, your post adds nothing to the current topic.

Then again, neither does mine. So, my euro armor... I think most of it is painted, though all my Rascus is on my reformed Dragon Masters (green and red as opposed than blue and red). Since helmets are fairly closely related to armor, I'll tell you what I do with those as well- all of them have had their tops cut off, so it's a sallet-type helmet painted black.

The last few exchange on this thread is rather ... inspiring.
On the armor as the extras gradually gets build up it is only natural to envision them in a cooler color scheme. And hence follow by a paint job

Heres an example:

The same reasons mail conforms, or early Bronze breastplates.

1.) It isn't designed to deflect blows away from the body, it's designed to stop a lighter blow from killing you. Hit a man in a muscled cuirass of leather with a sword-swing, using as much force as you can. He's dead. Do the same to a guy in medieval plate and he's fine - might not even feel it.

2.) Armourcraft was simply not developed at this time - not as developed as it would become in late Medieval Europe, which is unarguably the pinnacle of pre-Modern armourcraft.

Medieval Europeans weren't the best at everthing, but their armour was unarguably the top rung of protection. If you made it conform closely, it wouldn't do its job nearly as well, and you'd be taking a lot more of the force from blows. If the Romans were capable of making armour of this sort, which they were not, they certainly would have. Apples and oranges when you compare a culture from the 3rd Century with one from the 15th.
Forge not works of art but swords of death, for therein lies great art.

Now that I actually have KKII figs I've done reshuffling of colour schemes of my armies.
I use the blue ones for Black Falcons and the red for Crusaders. Old Vladek armour goes to my Black Knights-type-faction and the new one will be for a future "Scorpion" or whatever I'll call it gang. I have one problem though - never before have I thought of forestmen with heavy cavalry at their disposal. It just does not fit in my story line very well. So, any suggestion for the usage of the green breastplate?

I have found a new use for all 5 of the armors. They're used by alien warriors. Each color and emblem representing a different Overlord, their master.

Got the idea from the different helmets of the Jaffa warriors who used to serve the Goa'uld in StarGate.

Jackal-head helmets
Cobra-head helmets
Falcon-head helmets
