This minifig is.....Forestman!

Forestman was released in many forestman sets. This style makes up the bulk of the Robin Hood-inspired Forestman faction.

All the Forestmen are my favorite figs, yet I don't own a single one. What I like most about them is that any number of them can be extremely effective in a MOC, whether you have one or fifty. How many other factions can do that? I also love the hat, as it can be used for so many different characters.

This is the best faction ever! This guy is pretty cool, but I prefer the one with the black collar, sleeves, and plume. I also pretty much agree with eNiGMa.

I really love these guys, too, but I've never even touched one! They are really reminding of Robin Hood and robin-hood-like characters, and who doesn't love guys like that? I really hope LEGO puts Forestmen, or heck, at least the hats back in their sets.

A very nice, clean generic figure, something LEGO should do much more of in castle sets (although the 06 KKII is a good step).

The "peasent" design on green works well for either a forestman (as I use them), or a peasent (as I know one of my brothers does). Those hats are always awsome!

I do like some of the other forestmen, (and the brown version of the hat) better, but you can't beat these guys when it comes to forest "grunts." This particular fig will always have a place in my heart and MOCs.

I love this guy except for one minor complaint: the yellow on the shirt for his chest is not the right shade of yellow. Other than that, it is a great character!

This minfig is probably very old(their last set is released in 1990)and that's it...Mine are OK...ps:LEGO didn't make mistakes back then...

An all time favorite - it can be whatever you want: a soldier, an archer, a viliger, a rogue, and of course Robin Hood (yes!, I know that it's not only me who thought of this when first seeing the fig).

P.S. this fig comes in jarhead army green - so 10x a lot TLC!

My favorite faction. I like all the different colors on the collar, and the brown or green hat.

I like them all.

Hmmm...it seems I'm the only one who doesn't really like the Forestman figure. Perhaps it's the fact that there was very little variance in them - whilst they looked good by themselves, they all had the same standard green uniform and feathered hats and bows, with the same smiley faces. Now, I suppose you could say the same for the Lion Knights and Black Falcons - they all have the dual colours and helmets and basic soldier weapons with the standard shields. However, I'll defend this by saying that the LK/BFs are organised soldiers in standard regiments, and so should look similar together. But I would have liked more variance in a group of outlaws.

Also, I disliked the Forestmen somewhat as they were - to me - the first 'licensed theme' - just not officially. They're the happy group of merry men outsmarting the baddies. I would have preferred Lego to take a more original route. Fortunately, they delivered this in the next few years with the Black Knights and Wolfpack.

The saving grace here is the torso - it's wonderfully generic and at the same time features a useful design. Also, I like the quivers that each set usually came with.

Basically, I would have liked the Forestman design if he and his faction were more original.

6/10

Yeah this is too, my favourite faction, but I don't own any of them. I am slowly drifting away from Lego and I might not ever earn any of them.

Good minifig; the torso, face, i love the hat, plume, the whole works.

a definite 10/10
