I don't need a solid gold threepio, but I wish they would just produce a version made of "gold chrome" similar to the crown piece in castle sets. The creamish tan plastic that has a little extra shine to it that the current kind has doesn't look quite right.

I don't think it would be very practical with the current techniques, the type of chrome used on the crown doesn't hold up under friction, for instance where the minifig's elbows rub against the torso. I'm actually kind of curious to see how they did the 10,000 gold-chrome C3P0s - whether the chrome will rub off, or if they used some alternate more expensive chroming method.

Yes, I am feeling a little bit ripped-off (Jibbed) myself :!: :evil:

And as Australia is NOWHERE near the USA (just to point out an obvious fact), I will just have to wait until these guys appear on Bricklink or ebay, for my chance to acquire one.
