Just replying to let you know—I haven't been avoiding this thread because I don't like your castle, on the contrary, I think it's wonderful. I just don't like replying several times when I could once, when it's finished. However, I'll say right now that it's really great. I love how high the walls are, they look much stronger than short ones. The towers are very good looking, they could definetaly hold off an attack. I can't wait 'til it's finished, and I'll comment more then.

Me too. I know most people don't like them (myself sometimes included), but they make great cliffs to build on, especially if you don't have very many pieces.

This really is awesome to behold... especially since we get to see it grow from the outside in (that unfinished keep looks like it could be quite cool). About the courtyard, I really like how you added some inclines for landscaping... it only makes sense that a castle on such a rocky cliff would have them, but it's very unique anyway... also, the way you used gray pieces with the green to make a rocky/grassy slope was brilliant... it looks twice as good that way.

Love it so far~

This is looking great, chadzicz. I really like the landscaping work you've done. The tudor is really nice with the blue and white, and the towers still look awesome. I hope this will be finished soon, so that I can review it in full!

WOW, what a fortress
I really like it 'cause it's so realistic, the main part here which a like is the walls which don't go the straight line... Landcaping is wonderfull, I like how those dark grey BURPs work with old grey...

Great work chadzicz, keep on and finish it :D

I guess I missed this earlier, because this is the first I've seen of it. This rivals the best castles I've ever seen, and might even be better. The whole two gates thing is marvalously well executed, and the tower in the back is superb.

Its nice, but sincerly, I dislike a little colossal constructions. I prefer small and well built stuff to lego scale, than humoungously enormous displays of awsomeness. Sure they may look cool when we look at them, but when we think about playbility and interaction this kind of constructions usually gets negative score.

Not that i am insulting the auotr. He is clearly an excellent builder no doubt, but sincerly, I've seen so many huge castles in my thousands of visits to brickshelf and mocpages, that i am actually starting to get tired of huge real scale fortress constructions.

But still, a truly excellent work. Your mastery of castle building is very good, and your planning also seems pretty detailed.

Still allow me to give a small sugestion if you can find enough space inside of that huge castle of yours: build a small chapel near the back wall. Its normally a nice touch for a hugely complete castle in my opinion.

I was looking through your brickshelf chadzicz and saw that lego brick birthday cake!!!
Now that is cool!

Spectacular!

I like how you have incorporated some trans clear bricks at the base of your rock to give some life to the water. Nice effect. I'm curious to see how you handle the gaps between the angled walls of your interior and the rock base.... Keep it up!

Cheers,
