Lego Astartes Prototype

Post by LEGOFREAK »

Astartes = Warhammer 40k Space Marines
I used Brickforges armor for this though I have made a custom helmet, shoulderpads, and chestplate to more accurately reflect an Astarte.
This was a lot of fun to make though, so I thought I'd show off the prototype.. and I finally found a use for the new Exo-Force heads.

Awesome job, Freak-the chainsword, bolter and jump jet look perfect. If this is just the prototype, I can't wait for the final version! Nice job, and have I welcomed you back yet? If not, welcome.
...and that's how Equestria was made!

Thanks Shadowviking! and yes you did welcome me back.

It's a prototype because I have made a helmet, shoulder plates, and chest plate that are more accurate than what you see...
(currently I am trying to get to where I can make molds so I can make a bunch of 'em.. get a squad going. ya know?)

HA! the dark angels have a dark secret - the ultramarines are without shame! :D
ok - the real reason I made that chapter was because I bought a little set of a few figs with paints so I could get the details right, and I ended up with some leftover paint.
I am trying to get a poster that I found at the black library that shows the top hundred chapters - including one thats either called the black gryphons or the golden gryphons. Apparently it was only briefly mentioned in one of the codex's (codecei? codexies?) and any chapter that uses a gryphon, well... thats the chapter for me!
