Pre-1000 posts

Post by Remyth »

Hello!

I am currently working on restoring my large market from my 1000th post project. This is a very large project for me and will take a while to complete. I will hopefully update this thread with progressive pictures. It will have 13 shops, and 5 other areas.

I was originally going to photograph this when I got home, but it was almost abliterated when I unpacked it. Well, seeing how the people at BFest liked it, I decided to redux it, and seeing how I am zeroing in on (but am enough away from to hopefully get it done before I have to withdraw to badly to reserve it for the 1000th post), I decided to do it this way.

For those of you who saw it at BrickFest, you want want to miss it, because I am going to tweak things and make it hopefully more interesting and detailed than before.

I am mainly posting this as an explaination for why(if) I get withdrawn from the forums for a while. I have 90-some-off posts to go, but they can go by fast!

I'll try to keep you posted!

In Christ,
Thomas Wunz <><

I guess it could be called that...

Anyway, the dimensions are going to be 64x72 studs(two 32x32 baseplates one way and two32x32 baseplates with (4) 8x16 baseplates for a center road.

Thanks for the support, guys!

I am now about half-way done with it. I need to finish the main chunk up and then put all of the little details in.

In Christ,
Ah! My "Project Castle Town" is, so far, 8192 studs (64x128), and is going to be, in completion, 12,288 studs (64x192). I think I'm going to be working for a while

I like your project's size; almost square but just the right size to fit easily through a doorway but big enough to pack lots of detail.

I am really excited now!

EDIT: Any WIP pictures?

Please? :(

EDIT AGAIN: Your Stud count for your creation is 4608 (64 times 72)

I do not have any WIP pictures yet, but I will try to take some without giving too much away.

4,608 studs, eh? Sounds like a lot, but it really isn't too hard to cover. The hard part is getting the roads covered with cobblestone and tiles for the floors...

EDIT: Here are some WIP pics.

Thanks for the encouragement Kelderic!

Here are a few WIP pics of it all together. Warning: horrible lighting.

Well, I should have it completed by whenever my last peices get here.

Totally love the idea of a market... something I've begun myself, only I need to buy bricks! Looking forward to the completed project
