Corner tower

Post by Eldert »

Hello everyone,

Here are some pictures of a castle MOC I did.
It is the tower on a corner of a larger castle.

This MOC is mainly an exercise in techniques, so I am now demolishing it for use in another moc, the first day of which can be seen here.

Please comment and help me make it better!

I like the dark grey support pieces. Especially the sloped parts imbedded in the wall.

Very nice! I love the way it opens up, the brown beams are a very nice touch :)
I also like the colourscheme you used, though maybe the roof would look nicer in red, I dunno though, maybe.

Not to be a Mod or Admin, but could you please not just do one sentence/two-word-sentences? It gets annoying fast, and please do not take offense.

As for the MOC itself, looks great :D keep up the good work!

Wow! Excersize indeed!!!

This is a superb pice of work my friend! (Welcome to C-C BTW)
The 'realitic' construction of this is great; the beams and supports especially. The tiled surfaces realyl look sharp, and although not normally soemthign I like to see, teh combo of old grey and bley really works for me on this one!
I am already very excited about the coming MOC. That water looks fantastic!

Not to be a mod or admin, but don't get mad at me for saying in two words what you just said in five. That said, sometimes people start something and then realize they have to be somewhere in five minutes and have to cut off their train of thought quickly.

Anyway, the best part of this whole thing that I didn't even notice earlier is this:

Seriously, the way that lifts off and showcases the support beams and the fact that the staircase actually has landings is very, very clever. I'd like to see a mini fig in the pic just to see how it would scale to the MOC.

This is absurdly wicked-cool.

It's got great form and flow to the architecture. It's acutally awesomely large for what it is and realistic in proportion to a minifig compared to a human.

The tower atop the tower is exceptional and the overall stature is intimidating.

I really really admire this creation. Kudos, I'd love to see more of your work.

The whole thing rocks. It is a different style than anything I've ever seen here.

Thanks for the positive comments everyone!

I'm working hard on the new project and I'll be posting more pictures of it real soon.

Hey,

Really cool. I particularly like the snotty crennelations, the all tile interior floors, the way you made a quarter of the tower lift away for interior access, and the little alcoves on the inside top floor for the arrow slits. I'm not a fan of the gray/blay mix, but that's a prejudice I'll have to get over someday.

BTW, clicking up, Pizza the Hut is hilarious! Also, I just blogged your MMM entry. Please let me know if the translation is off (I just used Babelfish).

I made the underside of the battlements with tiles as well.
Unfortunately, I forgot to take a specific picture and the tower is now history...

Wicked!
The translation isn't perfect, but definitely good enough.
Thanks for the Blog!
