Which... if either...

Post by arc »

Here's a great dilemma to have. I just rolled a big jar of change and deposited it. My share of the $$$ plus a $1 roller's fee ;) is enough to get either 7093 Skeleton's Tower, or 7036 Dwarve's Mine. Both have some bits I really want but I have to decide which. Help convince me! I realize there's not really a bad choice here per se, but I've got to pick.

I'd say dwarf mine. Its got better unique parts. New beards and helmets are more interesting than the wizard and princess. (I can say that because I found the wizard and princess in a pick-a-brick bin, so there I don't have a pressing need to get those figures). Plus you get the troll, two goblins, silver and gold crystals, new shields, new swords and lots of other weapons.

Yep I agree with Athos, I would go for the dwarf mine. You can get most of the pieces of the tower from bricklink and the rare figs from the chess set when it gets marked down. There are some really great bricks in the mine set.

Oooh that's a good point. The figs are a big selling point of the tower.

Of course, that's not to say I won't be snagging the Skeleton Tower at some future point...

You should get the Dwarves' Mine, it will not be in stores for as long as the tower.

Just buy the Sorcerer and the Princess on Bricklink, and buy the DAWRF MINE. I have both and like them both but the MINE is amazing and should not be passed up. All the figss are great and the set is so much fun.

Dwarf Mine for the simple fact naval castle sets are released infrequently and don't have much else to interact with.

I agree with this statement. I won neither of the sets, but I do know that the Skellie Tower's lifetime will be longer than the Dwarves.

It's a "Limited Edition" set, and if you haven't heard, the Rebel Hoth Base has already left the UK.

Basicly, get the Dwarven Mine and then get the Skellie Tower later, when you have some more funds.

I have the Skeleton tower, and I am not overly impressed witthe parts. From the inventory on BL of Dwarf's mine, I would definately go with that one!!!
