What is this Lego Universe

Post by Prince Imdol »

I am sure most of you know about the new lego online multiplayer game. But really, what is it? Is it like runescape or something like that?

Are you guys going to get it at all? Or would you rather spend your time building real lego.

My Opinion: Well, I am sort of looking forward to this new thing to see what it has to offer.

I'm with you; it sounds interesting and I would like to take a look, but I doubt I'd actually get it unless it turns out really amazing.

It's a MMO game, not that it really makes it any clearer as the genre criteria itself is pretty vast. I think given the fact you can actually build (as well as converse) it could maybe be pretty similar to Second Life in that respect?

Information isn't exactly forthcoming about it, is it?

except hopefully you won't have to pay monthly and pay to get money in the game(I doubt it because come on, a 8 year old dishing out 40 bucks a month?)
Got LEGO?

40 bucks a month? Noobpatrol, what MMOG are you speaking of that charges that much? lol The most I have ever seen is 15$ for an MMOG.

I don't know much about it yet, but I think it has potential. We'll just have to see until the final product is ready to find out if it's done right or not.

you can get anywhere from 10-50 bucks when you have to pay for things in game + the monthly fee.

Having seen clips from the game, this looks particularly awesome. :) Building your avatar is so smooth and slick.

Last I hard in October, a fee was being negotiated but had not been decided. They were still building a lot of the enviroments.

I'm not a gamer, but this looks like an awesome game. :D

Any links as to where these clips are? I'm dying to see what the game will look like.

They're not online anywhere that I'm aware of. TLC showed them at both Brickfest PDX and Northwest Brickcon this year.

So far, there are not many clips. But there are a few photos.

It looks pretty cool from that video.

They have a website here, just so ya know.

And by the way:

That sounds promising. :D
