Post by Athos »

This may be leaked, but its such big/good news I thought I'd post it anyway:

We get our first look at a jester. A civilian lady and a witch lady. A must buy multiples of set...

DUDE! If this is real, I'll be happy!

But in the other Advent Calender sets, there's things other than minifigs. This only shows figs, nothing else.

And the Jester's hat looks like clay to me...

It looks like it will be very nice if it is real.

Holy crud!

If this is real I will be buying a truckload of these. Talk about an army builder! Of course, this could be like one of those fake "Limited Edition Castle Bucket" thingies.

My vote is for fake as well. As least with that perspective I can't be super disappointed when the set never gets released.

IF it is real however, I'll but one at full price and then go to the lego store after X-Mas and buy another 6 at half price :)

I'd bet it's real...at least I sure hope it is! An image of the same set is on Brickzone too, along with a LOT of other new sets. I'll be buying these at full price. I don't want to take my chances like I did with the Belville Advent calendar.

I remember hearing about a possible Harley Quinn minifig for the Batman line so a jester hat is a definite possibility. This looks like it's going to be the best advent calendar yet. :)

A jester? An actual peasant woman (with an apron)?!! This is just too much. I don't think I've ever been so excited for minifigs. The Witch and the skellies aren't exactly exciting, but this has insane possibilities. I also wonder if the female peasant could be a hint of that something special everyone seems to be speaking of for the 2008 castle year.

This is definitely looking to be a fantastic year!

Good call Rocko! I'm getting this set for sure. I bet the jester hat is made out of the same stuff that the Exo-hair is made of. So this is the "surprise" that was hinted about a while ago. I guess that it isn't a "surprise" that we all can't wait to get our hands on it. :D One thing though, I wonder if this is just a preliminary look, or the real deal since it's so early? Regardless, it's a great find Athos.

Actually, I think that it could hint at a bigger set. It seems highly unusual to have three new torso prints (the jester, peasant girl and witch) in just the advant calender. I'm wondering whether there is another set we haven't seen yet that will feature these characters. Either way, this is already my top set for 2008.

I'm with everyone else in that I hope beyond hope that it's real but 1) it just *looks* fake-- don't know what exactly it is, but something just doesn't look right about it. And 2) past City advent calendars have all had common, old torsos. Yet this one has two brand new ones, along with new headgear? Eh, that's iffy. I'd be ecstatic if they are in fact showing up in other sets prior to the calendar being released, but still...

I certainly hope I'm wrong as this would be a fantastic gift to Castle fans, but I'm not holding my breath. That being said, I'd for one buy it at full price as well for those new figs alone, if they are real.

I think we may have to wait a long time for this set to come out.
Its a Christmas style advent calendar, so my guess is that it will be released shortly before next Xmas.
I don't have the patience to wait that long.. :o

Anyways, this calendar set looks fantastic. We'll get a new peasant lady, a jester, and a new evil witch! The peasant lady's torso looks fantastic!
I enlarged the pic for a better view:
http://img127.imageshack.us/img127/5871 ... 075zf5.jpg

I hope we don't have to wait till next Xmas :?

EDIT:

I zoomed in on the top right corner of the pic because there appears to be another fig hidden along the battlements of the castle:
LINK
Not sure if thats a soldier or some other fig? It definitely looks like fig and it almost looks like it has an eye patch on one of its eyes...?
Maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me?

I'll let you guys speculate.

As much as I would want to believe this, taking a quick look at the Jester's torso it looks very much as a sticker to me..
