The final version of my castle at Legoworld

Post by DNL »

Legoworld was Last weekend, and I made a castle layout together with Brickoholiker.
We only had two weekends to finish the walls of the big castle and make the landscape, so the details could have been better. we didn't have the time to built anything inside the castle, so it's a bit empty there. Brickoholiker made the walls of the big castle and the big tudor house (based on Marakoeschtra's bakery), I built the small castle and the landscape and we made the mountain together.
I also got some great bricks for free at the end of the event, Pictures are here :D

I will post my pictures of the town layout later, since I haven't uploaded them yet.

That looks very fine indeed. It's going to take me several sittings just to make it through all of the pictures you've posted. I don't know how long in addition to that it will take to give them the attention they actually deserve. Thank you for a very fun and creative layout, and for giving me a great way to procrastinate even further!

DNL,

Amazing! You and your friend are Lego masters! That is really amazing. I wish I could see it in person.

I attempted a curved wall today..... maybe next time. :?

Nice gifts as well. Seems like a pretty good sized lot.

Simply amazing, that's about all I can say for this  I especially like the really tall tower with merlin at the very top :D

Awesome! You accomplished all that in two weekends? Oi...

I like the guy falling off the rocky bridge-like precipice. Very nice.
May the blessing of the Lord be upon you. <><

Excellent work DNL. This is near the top of the list for my favorite large scale setups. In spite of its size you still managed to get a good amount of detail into everything. I would love to see a large scale battle going on throughout this. Hope to see more from you.

I saw this, I touched this.

I rock.

It was a relly awesome castle, was kinda put in the shadow of all the other extremely huge stuff there but it was surely really awesome.

Wait till you see the straw roof.

A very nice castle you've got there, DNL! You and Brickoholiker did a superb job. I haven't taken a really close look at it yet, but it looks absolutely stunning from the overall pictures.

BOOGIE BOOGIE MONKEY DOO DOO!!

Post by Hob Took »

"some great bricks for free at the end of the event" I'd say that's a wee bit more than "some". A truely amazing, marvelous, stupendous castle, now why is there no interior, huh? :P Must have been hard to put foliage all over that monster of a creation. The landscaping is great from a distance, though the edges are a bit lacking when viewed closely. However, with the size of the creation I don't think it really matters. Are the curved walls bent by shear force, or is there some building technique I need to discover here?

Wish I could get some free bricks like that. If you don't like anything out of that stash you've got there, you can always send it my way. Please

A yellow plate upside down with a lot of hands attached. Looked really cool.

You have to take some pics of that DNL.

Shh, I think he borrowed that from another MOC that was posted on this forum some time ago, Erik ;)

The display you guys made at LegoWorld is amazing, I wish I could have been there to see it. Next time, if there'll be a next time, I hope to be able to go, so give a heads up for more collaborators :)
