Microsoft Paint question

Post by MaceyWindu »

Whenever you save on MS paint the program automatically blends the edges of your colors. Is there a way to keep it from doing this?

Sorry can't help you with paint. I'd recommend you try gimp, google search for it, it's a free graphics program. Somewhat similar to photoshop. It will give you better control of your graphics and do more.

The question was about MS Paint though, and not about what program to use instead.

MaceyWindu, MS Paint will only do this if you save the file as a jpeg.
Although the filesize will be much bigger, saving as a bitmap (.bmp) will save the exact colour of every pixel and therefor the image will be exactly as you saved it, without it blending any edges.
Between plotting to kill you all and chasing balls of yarn, I also build MOCs

Thanks Aliencat. That was what I was looking for. Thanks for the tip. And siabur thanks for the gimp suggestion. I might try it out.

I personally prefer Paint.net. It can be downloaded here: http://paint.net/
