Great creation again, love the transparent water and the dark green tree (both add a sense of maturity to the MOC). Likewise characteristic to your style is your lack of details - you just refuse to add them  . Good grief Bryan you made this great structure in only 3-4 days, you got plenty of time to spend decorating it like a Christmas tree. Please, do it for the children

"Likewise characteristic to your style is your lack of details"

Should I add a ferris wheel, or just 20 all black minifigs hanging themselves??

The ferris wheel sounds good.... Err...

Alright, I've given in. I tried not to look at any entries, but I had to make another exception, since I am a big fan of your MOCs. I agree with Nannan, it could use abit more details. I will have to reply later and tell you what I mean by more details. sorry, gotta go now!

I still think it's an awesome MOC anyway though!

nice creation, i don't like the fact it doesn't have interiors (so it isn't playble), but your style is wonderful and i have to take inspiration from it!

I've returned to give you some Constructive Criticism I suppose..

By lack of details, I think Nannan ment more small details, such as 1x1 to 1x2 tiles and plates and such. The tops of some rocks seemed alittle bare, maybe giving them some green would look better? Some areas seem like they need more decorations, like windows, flags, banners and decorations on the arches maybe? Or maybe some dark bley bricks scattered here and there, like you have on some areas of the building already. I'm really liking the main shape of the building and rocks though, so you're really good when it comes to the big things. Now you just need the little details, and you'll have an absouloutely outstandin' MOC.

You can do it!

Oh, and thanks for reading.

well, what I like about this moc is the clean and dark "frankensteinish" impression you get from it, I belive that adding vegetation and flags would destroy that feeling.

Maybe just one... for Nannan.

The stark look seems to be what you were going for, and it works for me.

Hmm.. Now I'm starting to have second thoughts about my previous comments. Yes, I suppose it does seem to be the look he's going for, but I'm still wanting more details, like Nannan said.

It's not real dark to me. I did think the rocks and water had a rather spooky "frankensteinish" feel aswell. I suppose you are right about the flags and vegitation though. This MOC is starting to grow on me.

The tree growing on a rock is rather odd when there's no soil or grass around. Maybe it's one of the Eggplant Wizard's special mutated trees or something.

As someone with limited, but slowly growing collection of bricks and bits, I like this because it's something I could build . . . if I had talent, that is. Love the waterfowl, btw.

The construction of the cliffs is really great, and I also think you did a fantastic job with the water. The architecture of the building is good, but theres nothing really inventive about it. Theres not much I can really critique or praise in that department.

I echo nannans thoughts about a lack of detail. On the building itself you have alot of blind arches that would lend themselves to some sort of embelishment. For example; statues, different wall texture/color, arrowloops, stained glass. Also while I really like how you have built the cliffs they could use some sort of vegitation or dirt to make them more interesteing. You have this great big healthy tree on one hill, yet all the others are totally bare. It just looks out of place to me.

Thanks for all of the comments. Regarding the detail thing, I generally agree that it could use more. By details, mean things like the ducks, or attention getters (minifigs in action).

Usually I wear myself out building the rocks, and then by the time I eventually have a somewhat normal looking structure I'm ready to call it quits and post. Perhaps I'll start building smaller stuff that will give me more time to focus on the little things (and I wont have to build standing up). :D

Yes, you're very good with the rocks. :)
