Let me first begin my introducing myself. I'm an AFOL who lives in Massachussetts and is a member of NELUG (New England Lego Users Group). I first saw one of their layouts a few years ago at the Greenberg Train show in Wilmington, MA and have been a member since. I've always had an affinty for castles, and fantasy and one day hoped to build a giant castle of my own. One of the biggest draws of any nelug layout seems to be the amusement park section (not to downplay the rest of the fantastic city and town MOCs that make up the layout!) and about 2 years ago the idea came up of having a castle for the amusement park much like Disney has their Cinderella castle. That being said I set out to make a castle that's easy to transport and after 3 revisions(probably more in the future) I have made the current one that we've been using for the past few years. Now being the kind of person I am I couldn't leave well enough alone at a castle I started developing a modular wall system that we could use to add a little depth and flair to the park. What I came up with also lends itself to quickbuiling castles for play as well as lending itself to making labyrinths or even brickwars games! Now it's still a work in progress and I'm continually adding sections or refining parts, but let me know what you think. you can see some of the example pics here. http://www.nelug.org/mediagallery/album ... 361&sort=0
The system itself is based around the base bricks that I used for the length and width dimensions and the pillar bricks were the base for the height. The wall sections are 8 x 16 bricks with half walls being 8 x 8. The joiner pieces are 12 x 12 bricks with the 2 x 2 shaped corners. The overall height is 12 bricks high with the pillars themselves being 8 bricks high. I have started to make attachments such as a main gate and stairs to go from top to ground level, but I haven't uploaded pics of those yet. Thanks for your time and I look forward to hearing your feedback!

Thanks! When I began building the walls all the major components were available at my local Lego stores on the pick-a-brick wall so finding them shouldn't prove too difficult. I'm going to try to take pics of the stairways and main gate sometime this week and maybe even get a better example pic uploaded. I also have a few ideas for walls with trap doors and such that I need to get working on.
