Advent calendar - who waited til December?

Post by princess_storm »

So how many of us are actually opening our advent calendars day by day atm?

I am, but I'm going away from 18th to 22nd December, so I might cheat and open those days before I go

We are at my house. Been fun so far. We also might travel for a few days but I think we will wait till we return to open them.... builds suspense.

My boys are taking turns working their way thru the doors. I had to explain that the dragon on the box is not behind any of the doors. I'm also hoping that my four year old won't get the barmaid door as he is sure to be unimpressed.

I was a good little boy and hid mine away after it came in. It was very much worth it! Now I have something to which to look forward every morning.

Ah! I totally forgot about this! I did buy one with this in mind. I'll dig it out tonight.

My two boys and I are going day-by-day -- they love the fact that it's building a scene, bit by bit. Leading off with the crownie knight was a good plan: immediately there's a character to create a story with.

I cheated and bought two. One I opened already and the other was put in the crawl space under my house until yesterday. 8)

I waited to open mine as well. My wife has a city one so we get to open them together. We thought it was funny the castle and city one has the same face on the mini fig for December 1st. Same guy, just a different era.

Erin and I waited till yesterday to open the first door together. I'm eagerly awaiting the Maid and Jester days [plugs ears] "No-one tell me which days they are!" [/ear pluggage]
