Bad new for Lego Halo fans.

Post by Dr.Cogg »

I read an artical from the Canadian Toy Fair that said Mega Blocks is going to make sets base on Halo Wars.

That's actually good news, because now we can stop talking about how Lego should get the license...

Personally, I think Halo is too violent and repetitive for a Lego line.

MB likes to use single mold mf. but in the unlikely even should they make the armor and helmet removable, then perhaps you can those on your lego mf. :D

As do I. I'm suprised Mega Blocks got the license especially considering the violence.

Anyway, this is interesting news, and arguably sad(If your a HALO fan, which I'm not.) news aswell.

I'm a halo fan and I actually think that it's good that Lego doesn't get a liscense. It's better because now there are all of these clever and cool custom Master Chiefs and Halo vehicles. I think that if they start making a Halo line, it might be cool, but halt the great Halo ideas forever..

Excellent. Most excellent. This news brightens me greatly, because it means that Lego will not have another licensed theme. And ignoring the fact that Lego probably wouldn't have wanted such a license anyway, Halo is in my opinion, not something worth making a theme about. Sure its a great game, and there occasionally some interesting MOCs made from it....but there simply isn't enough to it to make a theme outa. As I said, excellent, quite excellent.

Cheers!

Link?

I'm a LEGO fan and I actually think that it's good that Halo doesn't get a license with TLG. It's better because there are all of these clever and cool custom Master Chiefs and Halo vehicles built by LEGO fans already, using cool LEGO and custom parts. I think that if LEGO ever starts making a Halo line, it might be cool, but - no, the premise is against their core values, so don't count on it happening. MB on the other hand, is very open to anything to help keep their business alive. I wouldn't be surprised if they offered a fig of the current U.S. President sometime.

I like this news.

HALO just doesn't seem LEGOey enough to me.

Now, I would just fall over in my chair if LEGO snarked the Disney theme from MB. But that's not going to happen.

*sigh*

Pics of the new MEGA HALO Wars-based line:

More pics here

And THAT is why no talented HALO MOC builders or custom accessory vendors who produce similar types of accessories were concerned at this news

Noooooooooooooo!

Weep not my friends for lego, weep instead for Halo for it is they who are being produced by megablocks  . I too am not dissapointed that lego didn't make Halo,(especially with the brickforge "space marines") but I wish that MB had done a better job. I guess it's okay for MB but thats still bad bye comparison. These aren't even building toys, why not just buy the Halo brand stuff,
