This started off as Yggdrasil, but a lack ofideas and inspiration (c'mon people, where's them Yggdrasils? :tasty: ) turned this into a slightly political anti-hierachical statement, which then faded away as I got bored...

Ahahaha, packed with great details - as usual. And a hilarious concept too. Very, very well played. 8)

The castle looks absolutely splendid, as does the tree. Using different colors of gray at the bottom was also a great idea . The wheat field below the tree is a nice touch. Nice work!

I like the use of barrels for hoarding on the castle. Nice work.

The build is excellent, and the concept is well carried out. I love it!

Very well-built castle. And a very good point with it too...

You are a very inventive builder. Very nicely done. I especially like the bull horns as smoke.

I love the castle especially the barrel roofs, but the tree does nothing for me.

Excellent idea all the same though, so congrats. :)

Personally I like the lower segment of the tree - it was nice to build a large tree that wasn't a max of twice the height of the minifig. The canopy bit was originally meant to "fade" from leaf pieces into plates, but it never happened, due to lack of parts; I don't really like the way the change is so abrupt, or the clear cut edges of the grass, so that's something I would have improved if I could have. The 3 branches were also very difficult to attach stuff to, so I ended up trying to smother the sharp ends.

Every part of this works really well for me: the landscape, the tree, the castle. A new favourite of mine, and an inspiration.

You used some pieces in unique and fantastic ways in this MOC. The barrels on the towers, the hair pieces as trees, the little well is awesome. I thought the way you built the tree top overhang to cover the tops of the three branches was a great idea. The complete lack of a (visible, at least) standard baseplate is quite unique as well, and I really like the look in this case, since it compliments the natural feel of much of the rest of your MOC as well. One thing I enjoyed on your castle is the differing heights of the towers, which I believe was quite common in historical church building, so I imagine it happened with castles as well. Very nicely done overall!
