Small cross: how?

Post by albero78 »

Hello,
I'm building my entry for the contest and I'm trying to build a small cross to put on the altar.
I've tried many ways but the result is always awful.
Does anybody has any advice or some good examples to... copy ;) ?
Thanks

Hello Albero,
Just how small are you looking for, approximately?
Between plotting to kill you all and chasing balls of yarn, I also build MOCs

Hi Aliencat,
I'm thinking about a 5x6 cross (more or less)

Try using a coin in the centre of 4 gear stick bases (like here(also the crosses on the outside, made of technic angle connectors). Also, a 1x1 tile/plate with 4 clips around it works (like here).

Hey,

I'm late to the game, but this is a simple solution (here in a MOC by TaltosVT):
Image
The key is a 1x1 brick with studs on all sides in the center:

with a 1x1 tile to cover the extra stud. Or now you could use the 1x1 brick with studs on two sides:

for an even simpler cross.

Following your advices, this is my cross. It has also a little drawer on the bottom.
