Looking for a part, please help.

Post by RocketRanger88 »

Hello again everyone! After spending more than a few hours on Bricklink, Ebay and Google, I figure I would turn to the CC board. I'm looking for ID# 4085 in the color Tan, If the part ID # is wrong its a 1x1 plate with Horizontal Clip. I searched the web for it and cant find it anywhere but have seen the part in numerous MOC around the web so im guessing that they do make it but for the life of me cant find it. Any help would be much apppreciated

Could the piece you have seen been one of these in tan?

My suggestion is to add the clip to your bricklink wanted list and create a forum post there. If the pieces exist, they would be from an old LEGOLAND theme park model shop.

I really dont believe that is the part, here is a link to one set off the top of the history list that has the part im looking for. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=3559774 (I hope its okay to use his picture to show what im looking for if not im sorry :? ). There I can see 4, 1 at each door and on on the back for the whip.

Nope, they're battle droid arms, the arm and shoulder clips are facing in the same direction.

Considering that the piece is selling for $2.50 each, 4 pieces last November, I would guess the piece is relatively rare:

Yes, it's a very rare part/color combination that is not known to have been in any set - most likely there was a run of them for LEGOLAND parks, or just an internal batch for testing, some of which found their way into the public's hands.
