The Borgund Church is made of wood and was built in Norway sometime between 1180 and 1200. My MOC is not exactly in-scale but I try to keep the general design of the church in mind while building it. I hope you will like it. It's my entry for CCC VIII in the miscellanous category.
Oh wow! Its funny, the calendar in our office has this church for its picture on November. Its on my list of things to build out of Lego, because the design looks so challenging. Glad to see that someone built it, which means it IS possible.

That's the beauty of LEGO. Wait long enough and chances are it will be built by someone. This is a great MOC but I think it could use some figures and surrounding landscape, if I had to nit-pic. Great job!

Despise learning and make everyone pay for your ignorance.
The water that floats a ship is the same that sinks it.
Well done! I hadn't figured any churches were built primarily out of wood back in the day, now to see this and look at pictures of the real thing, I must say it is quite a site. This makes me want to build some wooden Scandinavian houses now...
Perhaps, add the cemetery surrounding it and some greenery?
As I said on MOCpages this is a really stunning church. I still cannot get the idea of a Viking village out of my head. Lovely build though. Great work.
Fantastic MOC.
One of very few buildings in the world, where real building can be taken to pieces in the same way as Lego model. Each part of the curch belongs to one family in the sourounding villages and this is how they were preserved during WWII. Taken apart and hidden. Some of them are up to 800 yeras old and only pine pitch is used to keep wood in good condition.
MOC remind me of the times traveling accross Norway. Thank you Peter!
