CCCIX Knights Quest - The Quest For The Blade

Post by shmails »

This is an entry into the CCCIX Knights Quest Category and Part 6 of my CCCIX storyline:

The Quest For The Blade

The Stargazer gave Gorang the knowledge he needed to defeat the Crown King's beast. Unfortunately, on his way home to prepare, Gorang and his men were set upon by a pack of wild mountain cats. Gorang escaped, but left a hand and leg behind.

The Warrior King now turns to his son, Gortaine, Prince of the Bear Claw Clan to retrieve the blade of the gods, needed to kill the beast.

Here is what the Stargazer told Gorang:

You must leave all that you know,

And travel the road where none will go,

Climb to the peak where the eagle soars,

And retrieve the blade of all our lords.

Gortaine's Quest begins!

I like the forced perspective theme you have going here, and framing picture one with trees was a stroke of genius. On a side note, why Gorang  !

That last scene with the forced perspective is wonderfully done.

Fantastic stuff. As others have said, the use of forced perspective for the backgrounds is nicely done, and very effective.
Increasingly irritated by the way real-world work impinges on building time...

Thanks so much everyone! This was my first attempt at forced perspective as well as the first builds designed to only be photographed from one specific viewpoint. It was a struggle, but it was worth the time. Glad everyone enjoys it, more from the Bear Claw Clan to come soon!
