The Honey Bee Tree

Post by Siercon and Coral »

Here is the joyful beekeeper of the Faerie Forest. As the tamer of bears and harvester of honey he does all he can to make the lives of the forestmen on the Mystic Isles just a little bit sweeter :)

Image

Take care though, in war he can be a terror. He's been known to catapult hives during sieges, smoke out spies, and charge with bears into combat!

Image

P.S. Sean's actually been learning to be a bee keeper for more than a year now, and we bought our first personal hive more than a week ago :) Yay us. Swing by some time for some honey!

The Faerie Forest is nearing it's completion stay tuned! :D

Smart use of those tire pieces, they work well as beehives. I'm surprised thet the gladiator helmet works so well as a beekeepers hat. Great job!

Like Athulus I really liked the hives. The entire scene is very playful, especially with the bears going for the honey. :P Great job.

My favorite part is the yellow shutters being used as honeycomb frames. Very nice part usage!

Ah, just seeing this has brightened my day! Well done, I love it! Very reminiscent of Beorn from The Hobbit, one of my favorite moments. :D

Very cool, Sean and Steph! You seem to like to use parts from the lego pens in your builds.
You would rather be building right now.

What a wonderful build! Really nice to see something different. Many clever piece usages, specially the beehives. As already said, this made my day :)

I love this build. C: I am a beekeeper too so I may be a bit biased!

Like Elmas, I love the use of the helmet as a veil. And I think my favorite aspect of the entire build are the little yellow shutters used as frames. Brilliant!

They look like tire hubs and small radar dishes.

I'm thinking it is this:

Wheel 2994

and this:

Dish 2 x 2

Extremely clever.

Awesome! That's cool to hear :D Hopefully our hive will survive this year as it was kinda established late.

Yes indeed, not so much just the Lego 'pen' but anything with Lego on it that we can take apart and use that people might have overlooked. :) Like the Gentle Blue Giant and the stop motion camera. :P But yeah pens are a great source of forgotten pieces! :) Thanks!

Thanks everyone for your comments!
