I've notice many archangels and valkyries done in the past, and some very good customisers out there on flickr have done awesome renditions of this popular theme. So i thought of making one myself. At first I was hesitant to submit this as an entry, as it seem quite out-of Lego, and there have been people who did not like such customs and porportions (Sorry Purists!!)
Anyway, this is a Archangel Dora (Dora because that's the name of one of my good friends: FRIENDZONED epically). She's heavily inspired by the character Valkyrie Lenneth.

Parts used:
Head – I used a Jessie head, from the Toy Story series. No seriously, who would have thought of using that oversized head? The crown is made from the back portion of a Chima Eagle helmet (BL part 12549pb04) and a Brickwarriors bandana overturned and painted in gold. Feathers are from an angelic jewelry set. Whole things has been repainted, Jessie is now a glowing blonde.
Torso – the most complex subassembly ever.
1) The mainframe is two standard torso glued ontop of each other.
2) A Brickwarrior Android Armor is attached to the top torso. Lego Kepis (part 30135) form the boob armour, while it is also lined with the knight visor (part x126) Everybody loves wagnerian armour boobs, but i had to keep it family friendly.
3) Brickforge pauldrons and the connectors are modified and joined to the Android armour. Talk about customising customs.
4) The 8 pack muscle from a Brickwarrior Cuirass is glued to her stomach.
5) The tips of Chima wings (11100) form the side of her chest armor.
6) Main wings are from the Lord of the Rings Eagle, heated over a flame to soften the plastic and then bent to give a wider arch.
Arms- Using the skeleton pin attachment, i glued a Friends arm to the front part of a standard minifig arm. Added Brickwarrior vambraces, and a 1x1 round brick for the sleeves. A LOTR rings adds a royal touch.
Waist- i used the alternate method where 3 levers (4592c02) are stuck through 2 pieces of grilled tiles 2412). Big thanks to the originator, I cant quite remember the name now.
2) A pair of minifig wings (11100) are modified with skeleton pins and attached in front, and a Brickwarriors Lyre piece (with repainting), serves as the centre fold of the skirt. The rear of the waist are clips to attach tail wings (11091) to form the back of the skirt.
3) Also attached to the waist are the silky fabric spider net (part 12547) from The Hobbit: Mirkwood Spider attack set 79001.
4) Those golden epaulets that form the rim of the skirt, are actually the Golden aluminium foil from the Collectors Minifig Series 10 packaging. Talk about reusing and recycling, I love shiny things.
The legs are made from: Minifig head for the thigh, 1x1 cone for the middle thigh, level for the knee, and a coconut tree for the shin. (Part 2536) Them Pirates be happy.
2) Knee armour are actually the shoulder portions of Brickwarrior Android Armour.
3) Shoes are from a Bionicle tooth (x346), with the top part of a minifig key (x216) in front, and modified Brickwarrior Bootwings at the back.
The Ice spear is a combination of standard Lego weapons, with a Sidan toys Horse Lance, and two Lego keychains to add some weight and formidablity. The sword uses a Brickforge trans-blue sword as its mainframe, and feather plumes ( 64647) glued on either side to fit the Angelic theme.

Valkyries raising souls of dead honorable warriors, assembling them into an army to fight at Ragnarok, the end of days.
