LEGO Warcraft!?!?

Post by TheOrk »

Has anybody ever made a lego warcraft type thing?
I have made several minifigs(no digital camera :x ) I also made micro warcraft :D but the problem with that is you don't have any detailed soldiers, but you can make fairly detailed buildings.
Also if anybody is interested, my name is AntiNoob on Bnet!

Here's some more info on The Micro WarCraft Game I'm have designed.
(pics coming soon hopfully)
The game is mainly played with footmen, and is unbalanced by heros so you can only have 1.
Most soldiers are made with 1 or 2 peg peices.
Town Halls are look like their counter parts from the games when built on a 4x4 plate. Buildings in villages are made with 2x2 bricks.
Trees are made with all the flower and weed peices.
Thats all the info for now.
Any helpful comments????? :?

Have I made Warcraft-inspired creations? Yes. Have I used them for gaming purposes? No.
I've made a Dwarven flying machine (something I threw together in only a couple minutes) and a couple Goblin mech-suit type things (like the Goblin Shredder or the Goblin Tinker). I'm building a large scale bat right now, which would be perfectly suitable for a Troll Batrider, but I'm using it for my main character instead.
A lot of my characters are inspired by Warcraft as well, from weapons and abilities to likenesses to names, etc. Not to mention the fact that my entire premise of humans and elves versus orcs and undead was taken directly from Warcraft. Yes, I know that this premise isn't specific to Warcraft, and I know that most of it was derived from the Lord of the Rings originally, but Warcraft is where I got it from. Hey, I was ten when Warcraft came out... I don't know about the rest of you, but at ten years old, Tolkien was just slightly beyond me.
Some other things that I've taken inspiration from: Lord of the Rings, Lords of the Realm, King Arthur (the legends, the movies, and even that crappy Saturday morning cartoon where a busload of football players magically gets transported back in time to take part in the Arthurian Legend... hey, come on, I was really young and stupid), Legend of Zelda, and Dragonheart.

Sorry didn't know that

As for what doctorsparkles says I agree with him on all those inspirational things.
As for using LEGO bricks in a game of warcraft, it's simply impossible to keep track of all those numbers so I basically leeched the rules from all these other brick games

no problems dude. I read tolkien when i was a kid thanks to my mom, (my sister and I took turns reading it out loud), but my orcs vs humans also comes from warcraft.
Warcraft 2 was my first video game that I really really got into. Its still one of my favorites, and when I think orcs vs humans, thats what I auto flash to.

Don't get me started on Warcraft... I am a Warcraft FREAK! I love every bit of that game. Got my start in WC2 like many others and fell in love. To me an Orc will always be an Orc like in Warcraft, no contest.

I made alot of them in the past and if those Jabba guards were cheaper I'd have a huge army as I think they best represent Warcraft Orcs, being green and tusked.

Elves are a little tricky to make... hmm with my newly found love of customization... I should make some stickers for them... yes.. yes indeed!

Only problem comes in the form of trolls/night Elves. little you can do with them because of skin tones, no purple =(
Dreams are only unrealized realities.

For trolls you can use JarJar heads and Green Goblins.

I've made several buildings, like a Human Keep and a Troll Voodoo Lounge. I've also made Arthas The Death Knight, several Dwarven Riflemen. Some Footmen, Orcs, Trolls, the list goes on. I've even made Dreadlords out of some Bionicals.

Nice altar Thrall! I never had the time(or patience) to build a minifig scale building.

Nice MOC Thrall!

And about the Warcraft thingie, I made an Undead Arthas once but I think I have sorted him(I did like him that much).
I would like to make a new Arthas like in the cutscenes from WC3 The Frozen Throne with the skulls and stuff, but I'm not such a great customizer, so I'll just leave it.

I've done warcraft type gaming. Well, technically not warcraft, since i don't really play it, but i'd say Age of kings, empires, mythology, type gaming, which is similar to warcraft. I am currently working on an extended version of the rules, it's looking like it's going to be 70+ pages in the rules, so it is taking a while. But the premise is that you start with a city center and some worker, and then you can build an army, or a peaceful civilization, or whatever you want... It's looking pretty good.
