Customized Scimitar

Post by Loneranger »

A month ago I customized 1 of my two light grey Scimitars. I find that it moves around better with the customizeing I've done to it :)

That's neat. I didn't like the look of it in the first pic, but it looks good in the hands of the minifig. The blade shape is pretty nice.

Very cool, and I have never seen that purple knight look so deadly! I would have kept a bit more of the gaurd though. But after seeing Hildalgo last night, and the scimitars in that show look exactly like that. Great work!

Very nice. I have like 30 of those scimitars at home, maybe I should try that to. It is very nice when a minifig holds it, it make him sooo deadly!

It's a good idea, but yours needs a little cleaning up. Try to make the end smoother and less like a dog bit it off.

The good thing about the scimitar is that there is so much there, you have a lot to work with if you want to radically reshape it. Yours was a fairly conservative cut, but gives it a unique look. You do need to smooth it out. You can do that with either a very sharp, thin blade making shallow cuts, or some sandpaper (I'd recommend 400 grit or finer). Or both.

Great job in customizing LR. It gives the schimitar a totally different feel. Though as others have said I would suggest smoothing the edges you cut. I have used a brick before(I has run out of sandpaper) and it worke quite well.

That's pretty cool. But like others have said, clean it up a bit.

I think you did a great job here Loneranger, and that dude looks ready to kill.
