In my opinion, the only thing those more possible arms are good for is:

It always bothered me how the minifigures shot their bows.

I think I might buy some out of curiosity. They are called "Action Arms" and Jeff had announced them a long time ago.

I see many possible uses, such as battle poses and action shots. However I think that it may be over complicating miifigs. Minifigs are supposed to be silly, blocky, and chunky. If we customize them too much, they will begin to look like action figures. Mega blocks has failed in their highly detailed figs, they just don't know it.

Well yeah, but it would be nice to have a few. I'll never use them in any of my MOCs but I will use them just for my own enjoyment.

Here's a link to the original post Jeff made. It's a pretty long post, from reading through it probably contains most anything you'd think of asking...

I think it's not that necessary. I mean, I love the original minifig arms and don't need anything else, but he did a pretty good job on those arms anyways.

Hello!

Why bother with LEGO figures at all? Why not create completely independant and fully posable minifigures (that, of course, must not be called "minifigure" because that's a LEGO trademark)?

And while you are at it carve your own building blocks.

Because then you would be leaving the Lego line altogether!

Yeah, but I'm saying thats why I wouldn't do that. I would be leaving the product line. Thats why there arn't any custom torsos or legs. I guess we have quite a few purists here.

I always rip the arms off my figs. I've been doing that for three years and no crack for me yet.
