Vikings, easily!

Though I note there isn't 'They are both great', or a 'This poll is flawed/biased'

Actually, I have to say KKII. Or rather KK2, 2nd version. I think that the 2005 KK2 looks rather good. And quite frankly some of the new Viking stuff could be better contrived.

Feel free to edit. However myself I voted KKII. This more of Viking vs KKII so I didn't think I need a <<I Like them both!>> option.

I'm grumpy today - thumbs down on both. :x I'm sure if I hadn't seen the preview pics before I would be much happier with the Vikings now, though.

Vikings all the way. The figs are just cooler, and the sets don't look quite as incomplete as the KK2 sets do.

Hard question.

I'm not all that fond of either line. The Vikings minifigs look great, but the set designs are lacking. At least 7019 has a decent assortment of pieces. The most recent incarnation of 7018 is quite dissapointing. This set went from being one of the best sets of 2005, to being one of the worst :x ! Overall, both lines really show what is wrong with LEGO today. You just can't build ANYTHING with today's LEGO.

I don't think either line is terrible, but there is no "below average" or "highly dissapointing" option in this pole, so I can't really vote.

Looking forward to 2006...

I votes Vikings, mainly because there are a lot of cool weapons and figs.

I am also highly disappointed on the boat in that picture, it seems so bland compared to what we first seen in the box pics.

Yeah, I have to vote vikings too.

It's new and fresh and it has some great figs, not to mention the dragons :)

Hello!

That's exactly how I feel, too. I liked the preview pics on Eurobricks much better than the Nuremberg versions of the sets. In Particular the longboat was better before. I really don't know why they added this Stalin Organ to the ship but cancelled the red-white striped tent on the quarterdeck. Again they opted for the so called playability rather than enhancing the authenticity of the models. Alas!

Vikings.

But it was a close race. Had there been a "Both Are Awesome" option, I would have chosen it in a second.

For me, minifig accessories are what make or break a set, and both lines have some awesome stuff where that's concerned. I love pretty much all the Viking stuff, and KK2 has really improved over last year's stuff, and as far as getting armour and stuff went, it was not that bad last year.

As for the rest of the sets, it was the superior design of the Vikings that pushed them ahead. KK2 has made great strides, and the Vikings are proving to be a bit more disappointing than before, but the Vikings still have the superior models.

Unfortunately, at the current rate, I won't be able to afford any of either... :(
